These amagwinya are inspired by my mom’s #Kwayishe. I used to make them for myself and my brothers when we were young. I was a working mom and barely had time to make the yeast ones. So they bring back great memories of my mom and I learning from her in the kitchen.
But now she’s amazed by what I can do with food and always wants to learn from me. It’s the strangest thing. She almost never tries my recipes anyway because she’s the busiest 73-year-old woman I know.
