Classic Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy 


Instructions:
Prepare the Meatloaf:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, egg, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Mix everything gently until just combined.
Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a greased loaf pan or baking dish.
Spread ¼ cup ketchup evenly on top.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
While the meatloaf bakes, boil the peeled and cubed potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutes or until fork-tender.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
Add milk, butter, salt, and pepper, then mash until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning as desired.
