Better than French fries! Crispy, tasty and quite simple

Overview
Craving something crispy and tasty but want to avoid the bad ingredients of fast food? This simple recipe for oven-baked potato wedges covered in egg is a great substitute for french fries. They don’t require oil or other toxic additives, yet they taste great and are quite simple to make.

Ingredients
You need the following ingredients:

Four medium-sized potatoes

Two large eggs

One teaspoon of salt

Half a teaspoon of pepper

Half a teaspoon of paprika, optional for flavor

Half a teaspoon of garlic powder is optional.

Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven:

Set the oven temperature to 200°C (390°F). For easy cleaning, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the potatoes:

After washing the potatoes thoroughly, pat them dry. For more nutrients and texture, you can leave the skin on.

To ensure even baking, cut the potatoes into pieces of approximately the same size.

Prepare the egg batter:

Crack the eggs into a large bowl and beat until well mixed.

Add paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper to the eggs and mix thoroughly.

Apply a layer on the potatoes:

Add the potato pieces to the bowl with the egg mixture. Mix the potatoes with the egg and spices until well coated.

Cooking:

Place the breaded potato pieces on a baking sheet that has been prepared in a single layer. To help them brown beautifully, make sure they don’t touch each other.

For even baking, bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, rotating halfway through. When they are crisp and golden brown, they are done.
