Strawberry Cream Cheese Filled Banana Bread
Step 1: Preheat and Prepare the Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Spray a 9×5 inch loaf pan with floured cooking spray or grease and flour the pan, then set aside.
Step 2: Make the Banana Bread Batter
In a large bowl, add the egg, brown sugar, vegetable oil, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Whisk until combined.
Add the mashed bananas and mix well.
Gently stir in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until just combined. Set aside.
Step 3: Make the Cream Cheese Filling
In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
Add 1 egg and 3 tablespoons of flour, mixing until combined. Gently fold in the floured strawberries.
Step 4: Assemble the Bread
Spread half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Carefully and evenly spread the strawberry cream cheese mixture on top of the batter.
Top with the remaining banana bread batter and smooth it lightly with a spatula, ensuring the strawberry layer isn’t disturbed. Push the batter into the corners and sides as necessary.
Step 5: Bake the Bread
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. If the bread browns too quickly, tent the pan loosely with aluminum foil to slow the browning process.
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Enjoy!
This Strawberry Cream Cheese Filled Banana Bread is a perfect blend of flavors and textures, sure to be a hit with family and friends. Slice it up, enjoy it warm or at room temperature, and savor the deliciousness!
