- Preparation of the dough:
- In a large bowl, mix the warm milk with the dry yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, until the mixture becomes frothy.
- Add the egg, remaining sugar, vanilla, salt and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
- Add the flour gradually, mixing until the dough comes together. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
- Leavening:
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, until the dough doubles in volume.
- Shaping the cookies:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1cm thick.
- Use a cookie cutter or a glass to cut the cookies into the desired shape and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Cooking:
- Bake the cookies for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on a wire rack.
- Decoration:
- Once the cookies have completely cooled, sprinkle them with icing sugar.
- If you like, you can add chocolate chips, sugar icing or colored sugar sprinkles for extra decoration.
Have fun making it and enjoy your Crumbl cookies!
