Easter thread

Easter thread is a traditional dessert in Portuguese cuisine. It is prepared with eggs, sugar, water, lemon zest and cinnamon, and is cooked until it turns into long golden threads. It is often served in individual portions, garnished with cinnamon and accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients:
250g wheat flour (all purpose)
50g lard or butter (soft)
50g sugar
3g dried yeast
1 egg
80ml milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp orange blossom water
1 pinch salt
1 egg (for brushing)
To decorate the Easter bagel
350g custard
10u candied cherries
Granulated sugar w/n (granella)
Method
Put the flour, sugar, pinch of salt in a bowl and mix.
