Zest of one lemon
For the Wings:
2 lbs chicken wings
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1.5 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Olive oil (for coating)
Instructions:
Prepare the Sauce:
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, red pepper flakes, maple syrup or honey, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Whisk thoroughly until smooth and set aside.
Cook the Wings:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, brown sugar, and Italian seasoning. Drizzle with enough olive oil to lightly coat all the pieces.
Arrange the wings on a baking sheet in a single layer.
