Instructions:
Prepare the Garlic Bread: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the Italian bread loaf in half, lengthwise. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter with garlic salt, and spread generously over the cut sides of the bread.
Cook the Sloppy Joe Filling: In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onions over medium heat. Once the beef is cooked through, drain the excess fat. Stir in garlic powder, mustard, ketchup, salt, black pepper, and water. Allow the mixture to simmer until it thickens into a rich, flavorful sauce.
