Apple Preparation:
Peel and slice or dice the apples. Place them in a bowl and add lemon juice to prevent them from turning black.
Pastry Preparation:
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt until frothy.
Add the sugar and continue to beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Add the milk, melted butter, vanilla extract and lemon zest, mixing well after each addition.
Add the sifted flour with baking powder and cinnamon, mixing until smooth.
Add the apple pieces to the pastry.
Assembly:
Pour the mixture into an oiled 34×24 cm pan.
Cooking:
Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 40-45 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Work:
Cool the cake before serving. This delicious apple pie is perfect for breakfast or dessert with a cup of tea or coffee.
