8 Uses for Citric Acid That Will Blow Your Mind
Citric acid is a natural preservative and antioxidant common in many industries, such as cosmetics, food, and pharmaceuticals. It is an organic acid found in a wide variety of fruits, including citrus fruits, although most commercially available citric acid is obtained by fermentation of sugars.

1. Remove rust
Prepare a solution of half a liter of water and two tablespoons of citric acid, pour it into a spray bottle and shake well.
Spray the solution on the rusty object to be recovered, then scrub well with a toothbrush and dry.
The item will have regained its original appearance. Remember not to use it on aluminum items.
2. Recover Burnt Pans
Although some seem unrecoverable, most burnt pans can be recovered with citric acid.
Fill the pot with water, add two tablespoons of citric acid and bring to a boil. The pot will be as good as new.
3. Unclog a clogged drain
There is no need to buy harsh products to unclog a clogged drain.
Simply pour half a glass of citric acid and half a glass of baking soda down the drain. Immediately after, pour half a glass of hot water and wait for the ingredients to do their almost miraculous work.
